Freeride

Freeride is skiing down the best powder, far away from the crowded slopes, feeling the silence of an enchanted nature… an unforgettable skiing experience!

But skiing off-piste means also concentration, fitness, skiing ability and knowledge of itineraries and safety aspects.

Our qualified mountain guides will take you to an incredible hidden off-piste terrain, and teach you the right technique in every condition, from powder to spring snow.

The Alpine Guides will take you through the best freeride itineraries in Val di Fassa and the whole Dolomites, suitable for both skiers and snowboarders. Some of the most famous once are:

– Val mesdì

– Val Lasties

– Forcella Pordoi

– Marmolada

– Sassolungo

When: every monday and friday or every other day on request.

Every Monday:

Freeride in Val Mezdi! The most famous off-piste skiing in the Dolomites.

Price: starting from 90€ per person safety kit included. Duration: whole day

Every Tuesday:

– Freeride approach! Learn how to ski off-piste in complete safety with the teaching of the Alpine Guides.

Basics on fresh snow and avalanche safety, use first aid equipment and first experiences in deep snow!

Price: starting from 90€ per person, safety kit included (avalanche beeper, probe and shovel). Duration: whole day. Possibility to rent equipment.

Every Wednesday:

– Freeride tour between Sella, Marmolada and Sassolungo.

Price: starting from 65€ (half day) or 100€ (whole day), per person safety kit included (avalanche beeper, probe and shovel).

– Dolomites Freeride course

The course includes three days of off-piste itineraries in the area of Sella, Marmolada and Cortina, chosen according to snow conditions and participants skills. The goal is to improve the off-piste skiing technique and to be able to evaluate the snow and weather conditions.

Period: starting from January, see available dates.

Participants: min. 3 persons

Difficulty level: intermediate, it is necessary to be alble to ski on red and black slopes.

Price: 280€ per person, including Mountain Guide, safety equipment. Accommodation and ski pass are not included.

Every day on request:

– Steep skiing stage: a whole day dedicated to steep skiing approach and skiing technique improvement, rope manoeuvres and risk management.

Price: starting from 110€ per person, safety kit included.

Every day on request. Duration: whole day

– Beeper showel and probe: how to use them? Self rescue avalange course, to learn what to do in case of accident.

Price: with minimum 3 persons 30€ per person; 2 persons 40€ per person; 1 person 70€, (Safety kit rental included).

Every day on request from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm at our ARTVA camp.

Information and details about off-piste activities:

– A high skiing level is required for the freeride trips, suitable for skiers and snowboardes who are used to ski on black slopes and on different snow conditions.

– Number of participants per guide: always depends on the conditions of the snow, max 4/5  persons per guide.

– Duratation: half or whole day

– Meeting Point: 8.30 Mountain Guides office Canazei or to be difined at booking

– Period: from december to april

Price includes: Alpine Guide, bus transfer (max 7 people), safety kit ARTVA.

Price doesnt include: lift transfer, lunch, skiing equipment.
