Description

Mountaineering excursion to reach the highest peak in the Dolomites, from here the magnificent view you will enjoy will be unmatched!

We will start the ascent from Passo Fedaia to Pian dei Fiacconi. From here we can climb the normal route through the majestic glacier with the last part consisting in easy rocks and a final snow ridge that leads to Punta Penia 3342 m. The other option is to climb the western ridge via ferrata: Crossing from Pian dei Fiacconi to Forcella Marmolada, from where the via ferrata begins. Once we will reach the top, we will enjoy the peace that only a refuge like Capanna Penia can offer. Surrounded by a unique spectacle, we will admire the highest sunset in the Dolomites. 

Altitude gain: 1300m (first day). Altitude loss: 1300m (second day)
Difficulty level: DIFFICULT – ADULTS

Meeting point: in the morning at Passo Fedaia.
Return: the next day around 11.00 am.

Normal route price: 330 € per person with 2 people, 230 € per person with 3-4 people.
West Ridge via ferrata price: 340 € per person with 2 people, 240 € per person with 3-4 people.

Note: The prices include UIAGM Mountain Guide and equipment (crampons, helmet, harness, via ferrata kit).
Overnight stay with half board service at refuge Punta Penia is not included in the price: 80€ per person + 40€ guide stay. Trekking clothes and boots, sunscreen and sunglasses are mandatory.
