PROGRAMME VALID FOR SUMMER 2023!

Conquer the highest peak of the Dolomites by tackling the via ferrata West Ridge!

Programme: Starting from Contrin refuge we will walk to Forcella Marmolada from where the via ferrata West Ridge begins. We will climb the via ferrata until we will reach the 3343 m of Punta Penia.
After a well-deserved break at Capanna Punta Penia, we will return to Contrin again through the via ferrata.

Altitude gain and loss: 1300 m uphill and 1300 m downhill (excellent training is required)
Difficulty level: VERY DIFFICULT – ADULTS

Prices: 170€ per person (min.3 people). Price for 2 people 225€ per person. Price for private guide 1 person 400€.

Notes: This excursion requires excellent physical preparation. Hiking clothing and boots, sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended. Via ferrata recommended for those who already have experience of via ferratas. The technical equipment is provided by the guides: helmet, harness, via ferrata kit.
There is the possibility to stay overnight at the Contrin refuge the night before or to take a taxi from Alba in the morning. (The costs of accommodation or taxi are extra and must be paid by the participants. Half-board service at the Contrin refuge is 65€ per person, Taxi 32€ to be divided among the participants)
